This is a beautiful Victorian brooch with a flat polished natural goldstone. It is sparkling rosy copper aventurine and cut in a marquise shape. Gem is set in a simple frame with 4 prongs and pin has original C hook clasp. Measures 1-3/8" across. No marks on metal, looks like faded gilt silver. There is one very tiny dark pit near center of stone, I did not notice it at all until in pictures. Looks like a speck of dirt, but under loupe I can see it is a pit in stone. Otherwise excellent.
