Antique / Vintage 1 7/8" Handpainted Lacquered Landscape Brooch

Description

This is a Charming Antique / Vintage 1 7/8" Handpainted Lacquered Landscape Brooch.
This lovely brooch is beautifully hand painted, with a scene of a small sailboat on a lake or river with foliage on the banks on either side and clouds in an azure sky in the background. The brooch is an estate piece and we do not know the age nor the material specifically.
The brooch would also look wonderful as pendant necklace, so you could opt to purchase an inexpensive, easily removable finding from a jewelry supplier to convert the brooch to a pendant so it would have the versatility of two different looks.
The oval brooch measures 1 7/8" x 1 5/8" along the centerlines.
The
size relative to a US Standing Liberty half dollar, quarter and dime, is shown in one of the photos.  The brooch has a C clasp.
The brooch is not marked nor signed.

Condition
As found there was a tiny chip at one edge on the back as seen. This is very minor.  I do not think this will be noticeable when worn except on very close inspection.  There are also several quite minor lines of crazing or similar a few places radiating inward from the edge. One example of this is also shown on a photo circled in blue-green.  The brooch is otherwise in excellent condition, and we will 100% guarantee your satisfaction with the appearance of the brooch when you see it in person.
