Ceri Richards,
painter, printmaker, musician, and stage designer, was born in Dunvant, Wales but spent most of his life in London.  He
won a scholarship to the Royal College of Art in London (1924-1927). There, he studied Cubism and the works of the new and controversial Abstract artists, such as Picasso, Kandinsky, and Mondrian. This poster depicts his abstract work titled, "Jardins sous la pluie" (view of a garden in the rain). Colors are mostly shades of blue and green, with some black, and white.
