Computer Art - Random Art Generated By Computer

Description

This art work is created by connecting a Random Number Generator (RNG) to a PC computer. The PC computer is running a program that draws a line in a direction indicated by the random number generated. The line is drawn pixel by pixel, with one pixel being drawn every second. The lines length is determine by the time that elapses until another random number is generated.
The random number generator generates a random number each time its built in Geiger counter detects a natural radioactive particle. Each time a natural radioactive particle is detected a rotating number sequence, that is spinning numbers thousands of times a second, is halted. The number that the rotating sequence stops on, is uploaded to the PC computer where it is used to draw on the computer screen.
Multiple color artworks have human intervention changing colors during the drawing process.
Each picture is unique. No two pictures will ever be identical. Once a picture is sold, that corresponding picture file will be archived and not sold again.
Resolution and picture size varies - picture size is approximately 1000 pixels x 600 pixels
Each picture takes on average 7 days of computer time running continuously.
