This is a really unique antique old Victorian pin or brooch that consists of a wonderful oval cabochon goldstone glass piece that is set on a brass frame with a c clasp closure. Perhaps an early French or German jewelry pieces.
Goldstone is a type of glittering glass made in a low-oxygen reducing atmosphere . The finished product can take a smooth polish and be carved into beads, figurine or other artifacts suitable for semiprecious stone, and in fact goldstone is often mistaken for or misrepresented as a natural material.
A really wonderful piece to add to your collection!

Measurement is approx: large brooch is 1.2" x 0.6" and
small is 0.8" x 0.4"
