    Description

    PORCELAIN  PORTRAIT PIN QUEEN LOUISE OF PRUSSIA
    Hand painted  Victorian porcelain portrait  of Queen Louise of Prussia signed on the right side  ( approximately at the 4 o'clock position ) and in an elegant  faceted rhinestone studded setting.  The porcelain portrait has no damage and all the stones are prong set. They are all brilliant white and there are no missing or cracked stones.  I have the signature pictured but could not identify the artist.  The frame is  polished brass and  is  a deep 1/4 inch and measures 2 x 1 3/4 inches. The back has a
    straight pin closure.  The portrait is painted in light  pastel color but with great detail. The colors are difficult to photograph  as some detail is lost when I tried to lighten the stones.  A beautiful piece of Victorian costume jewelry that could pass for the real thing .
