To my bidders: For years I have done business on eBay using the name: gpstorageco*. The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives.
These WWI German Medal bars belonged to a friend on mine who recently passed away. I found them with some other German militaria that I will be selling in my other listings. You are buying the lot of two medal bars & the original & period box for one money.
These WWI German Medals are all full size, are clean overall and are mounted on two different bars (see photos). The first bar consists of five period medals and the second bar has two medals (see photos). All medals show some light overall wear (the two medal bar more so than the five medal bar - see photos). The box measures approximately 7.5 x 5 x 1 inches overall. It appears a period box and is solid overall but has some tape to the corners (see photos). It is lined with a red silk-like material and the inner lid has a period description of exactly what the medals are (see photos). The larger bar has a metal back with with working pin & open catch (see photos). The smaller bar has a red material backing with working pin & open catch (see photos). There is no other info on the box other than the emblem to the front (see photos).
The two original WWII German medal bars would be excellent for a display with a WWII bringback collection. They are absolutely guaranteed to be period pieces. They came to the US together and I am selling them together but they could be separated if desired.
