    Description

    Beatifully etched Victorian gold-filled grape pin is accented by bright red stones that are possibly garnet cabochons.  This brooch measures approximately 1 inch wide and 1 inch high.  This pin is in very good antique condition with a working original clasp.
    This pin appears to have a layer of engraved 10 Kt. gold on top of a gold-filled base.  When acid tested, the base reacts like gold-filled metal and the top like gold.  From the side, you can see that two layers have been joined together (see picture 5).
