    Description

    Wonderful old Victorian cameo brooch.
    Hand carved shell has a slight blue tint in the background and cream or white on the figure.
    Very proud looking woman with "Roman" nose and swept back hair.
    It's set in an etched frame that seems a bit uneven, particularly on the cupped edge that holds the cameo.
    Back has the old c catch and is marked "Gold Top".
    Possibly 1840's - 1860's.
    1 3/16" x 1 1/2".
    Very good condition - gold metal has uneven color and some tiny dark spots here and there.
