Victorian Hand Painted Porcelain Brooch Bar Pin Blue and White FlowersDuring the late 1800s and into the early 1900s, porcelain painting became a common occupation for women. Blanks for various china pieces such as plates and cups, could be readily purchased. Additionally, smaller blanks and findings could be purchase to make one of a kind hand-painted brooches. This delicate piece features two white flowers against a cloudy blue background at the center. On either end are there is a white background with a subtle floral design.
The piece is in very good condition. The enamel is in perfect condition. The brass finding shows some age as would be expected. The C-clasp is in perfect order.
The brooch measures approximately 2" by 5/8".
