Text on the back states:  The original of this springerle mold is now in a famous German museum, after 200 years of working service.  The mold came to the United States over a century ago and was handed on lovingly from mother to daughter.   Now, at the request of European relatives, it has gone home to stay.  The spingerle mold is an exact reproduction of the original.  It pictures twelve medieval guildsmen....
