    Description

    Pictured here is an unusual vintage butter or cookie stamp. It is all hand carved and composed of a column of letters down the middle and is notched with grooves down the sides. The wood appears to be a fruitwood such as apple, pear, or cherry and has no stain or finish. There is a round knob on the top for holding and the top is decorated with carving as well. It would be possible to turn the mold over and use the handle side for stamping. It is totally unfamiliar to us, but definitely interesting. Please enjoy the photos for the best look. The condition is excellent.
