Vintage Wood Springerle Board, Mold; 6 Oval Designs
Today I have a wonderful old springerle cookie board with 6 oval designs. Each designs has a oval frame that is carved as well adding even more interest to the image. The designs have sharp edges that will translate into sharp well- defined images on beautiful cookies. I personally love the bird images as they make a fabulous looking cookie! This springerle board is in excellent antique condition. There is no cupping in this board, it lays perfectly flat. No splits or open grain that would spoil the image. A wire ring has been inserted in the top by the previous owner for hanging and there is also a small hole in the back where a hanging piece was attached.
This mold will make wonderful cookies; oval cookie cutters can be purchased to cut the cookies out to make the rolling and cutting super easy!
