Ultra rare enamel badge "Scapa Flow".
21 June 1919
The shield depicts the sea surface, above which a German eagle holds the battle flag of the German fleet above the water.
Dedicated to the tragic event when German sailors sank their ships, undefeated in battle, in Scapa Flow Bay... this is one of the examples of the courage of brave hearts.
The badge was produced after the war...unknown manufacturer and quantity...but in my diligent search I was unable to find a second one.  The commemorative badge may have been made in limited quantities and perhaps for members of those who took part in those events... but this is my guess.
